Human Massacre

If Israel only seeks to stop the rocket attacks coming from Gaza as they claim, then surely a heavy assault and killing upwards of 900 people will not help. Mass violence and death does not send a clear signal of peace, and does not sway the civilians of Gaza towards peace.

The focus is on the innocent children of Gaza, attacking and killing schools and children unarmed have become a habit. Parents and loved ones are killed in front of the children, leaving them to shock and the emotional traumas. Talk about the human rights! Talk about the inhumanity! Where are the people who ‘blow trumpets’ about these? Where are they hiding?

To share a story I witnessed: A seven month child was placed on the track. The child can only crawl. Beauty radiated from the child. Smiling with toothless gums, waving the small arms and talking using children language. She was placed on the verge of the tracks cement placement. The Israeli soldier kicked the lovely baby, on the abdomen. The baby moved like a football moving into a goal. The baby dropped into the sea. The baby sank. Drowning but smiling; in front of my eyes. I was there, all along, I was there but I couldn’t do a thing. I dived in, but to my fear I couldn’t save the baby nor could I catch. The horror left me shaken.

I was shaken. Crying and scared I woke up. It was just a dream, where I tried to play the heroin. I am troubled and worried when awake or asleep. Wished, hoped and prayed god to give paradise to all martyrs. To relieve the pain and give courage beyond belief. To bestow PEACE! God will, if not no one will!

The story of baby has really touched me so hard. I love babies and I could figure out the scene like a soldier kicking a cat. Where is the humanity? Are these babies firing rockets? Insha Allah, grant them the most severe punishment, on the earth and hereafter.

Democracy at its best….
“Democracy means different things to different countries….”
Have we gone confused in interpreting the word “Democracy” as its founders interpret them? Or was it also interpreted differently between its founders? Where can we find a democracy that is acceptable to the whole? Wars have been fought, governments toppled just because the democratic movement of one country was not “democratic” to the other. When all this has happened who are to blame? Are the people of that country (rightful voters; who have the right to choose their leader he pleases) to be blamed? If not caught in the crossfire in a war they are caught in the crossfire of “democracy”. The living example at this moment is what is happening in Gaza. The “democratically” elected government of Israel is trying to put pressure on the people of Palestine to end the “democratically” elected government run by Hamas, if not offload all the missiles, shells, bullets they have to eliminate the “democratically” elected government. This is where the present “democracy” has reached. It is in fact an unbelievable fact. However, there are two things to be noted here. On one hand, we have the International Laws against crossing borders into countries, on the other hand we have the democratic values in respecting the “democratic” decision of other countries. So, the first would be simply defined as an “act of war” and the second would be “undemocratic”. Therefore, the so-called operation in Gaza by Israel can by no means be justified, neither self defense or pre-emptive.
Since the government of Palestine is elected by the majority of their peoples’ vote, the government is legitimate, and there is no way a neighboring country or even an enemy state can over throw the legitimate government, because of the fact that it was the people who elected it and only they have the right to change their government. But the reality is that this was the older version of “democracy” where it is no longer in existence (only among the powerful countries). Therefore, Israel cannot resort to military action against the legitimate “democratic” government of Palestine legally…there is no lawful justification for their actions…it can only be justified as an “act of war”…! Then again, “democracy means different things to different countries”.
